NTA. Running is an individual sport. No one is expected to wait for anyone to complete a race. She had the time to prepare and set her own goal and she failed. That’s not your fault. My SO also started running while I’m training for a 10K in september. We begin warm up together and after that I go for my pace and she goes for her.
