The crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Bin Salman, who has a list of alleged crimes behind his name is generally referred to as MBS. MBS is NOT president of FIA, that is Mohammed Ben Salayem.
A bit different situation as this benefitted Ferrari as well: September 17, 2023, Singapore: Sainz (Ferrari) kept Norris (Zak’s McLaren) within DRS range which allowed Norris to defend against Hamilton better.
This is the interview of Ricciardo, so sad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx5AdhnxAuk
The FIA should also be reminded that these racers are not TV presenters. For most of them English is a second language and it is not always easy to express themselves.
pushd and popd to change directory and go back when done there.
Language like that is quite common in the Netherlands, I suppose it’s all rappers there. I fail to see how this did any harm to F1, or motorsport. It is childish. This will further reduce the quality of press conferences where drivers really do not say anything but the usual: “Car was [not] running well, we are [not] confident we can run for the top places [run in the points]. We have [no] upgrades. See you after the race.”.
I find Hamilton’s remarks quite racist. Does he realize that ‘rapper’ is not a race?
Every criticism on him feels for him as racism. He should really start reflecting and look at problems like this without thinking about his skin color.
I’m white and lived in a country where I was racially profiled on my skin color on daily basis. Not complaining, I could always go back to my home country and I did after many years. Happy to have experienced it and with that in mind i find hamilton a winy little kid.
We’re checking
I just had another look at Sergio’s on board. He touched the back left of Carloz who was slowly drifting towards him. Could have been avoided by Sergio.
Looked like a puncture back left for Sainz?
India is a problem.
And he walked back to the pits at 5km/hr.
Looks like he wanted to put the car sideways as a last attempt to reduce speed, same as when initiating a drift.
Turns out he is disqualified from qualifying results. A sad weekend for Williams… Albon had qualified 8th.
Pessimistic
That album is sssoooo bad… it has for example a version of Help (the Beatles) that will make your ears bleed. It is a miracle that DP continued after this. Lucky for us they managed to improve and gift us great music.
Hush is not too bad, probably because they stayed close to the original.
OK I found it myself : https://us.motorsport.com/f1/news/were-russells-worn-tyres-the-cause-of-his-spa-f1-disqualification/10640096/
“We expect that the loss of rubber from the one-stop was a contributing factor, and we’ll work to understand how it happened.
“We won’t be making any excuses though. It is clearly not good enough and we need to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
The missing weight of 1.5kg may sound like a lot, but we are only talking about 375 grammes from each corner.
And as Pirelli head of F1 Mario Isola has explained, that is well within the boundaries of how much a worn tyre loses.
Why “definitely”, please publish your info? Pirelli disagrees with you.
Does anybody know how much weight the tyres lose during a long stint like Russel did? And when compared to a 20-lap?
Note. Mohammed Ben Sulayem is not the same person as crownprince of SA Mohammed bin Salman who is often referred to as MBS. Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) has allegedly ordered the assassination of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
