Public votes could be an issue is my point. They probably didn’t report it, no rules were broken. It’s just to be annoying.

On reddit I didn’t wonder if people would scrutinize my votes if I wanted to go against the flow for whatever reason (comments are a different dynamic)

Example: feel free to downvote this, I promise I won’t contact you with a fake report claim

Second hand? Find a used 3-4 years old flagship phone (or quality midrange nowadays) with good LineageOS compatibility and you’re golden. Seriously it’s nothing like what you’re describing. I do this for myself, mom and sis, all phones are fast, 8 gb ram, 128-256 storage (and I didn,t buy them recently)

Maybe the second hand market is different for us europoors

    I need to install Magisk.

    Google:
    1st result: their Github page
    2: magisk-manager.fr.uptodownDOTcom/android
    3: magiskmanagerDOTcom/
    4: magisk-manager.fr.softonicDOTcom/android

    Kagi:
    1st result: their Github page
2: magiskDOTme/ (icon showing it may be scam)
    3: magiskmanagerDOTcom/ (scam icon)
    4: themagiskDOTcom/ (scam icon)

No way I’m clicking on anything but the Github page.
Kagi is somewhat better than Google, but you have to pay attention to the small warning icon.
I would say bot search engines do a bad job and shouldn’t show those results (or have an option “show me unsafe websites”)

edit: uptodown and softonic might not be as bad. Still wouldn’t download from them.

  • el cheapo interneto when you’re not rich:

4G router at home, data capped (350 GB for 10€) so I had to be creative.

For non urgent downloads I use an Oracle free tier server: 200 GB. I retrieve the files when I have access to a fiber connection. Also acts as a small seedbox. Completely free but can be reclaimed by Oracle at any moment.

150 GB on Filen for sharing stuff (one time purchase)

A small 40 GB VPS for syncing smaller files like my notes, passwords, some files on Nextcloud … also for Wallabag and a few other services.

  • refutation? No, I was joking. You’re the one talking about psyops, governements and corporations

You can’t just explain to people their feeble minds are being manipulated. Like trump supporters…

Do you see how condescending it is? That the only reason we’re against the nauseating ideology that is tankism is because we don’t know any better.

Try to give people some credit. I’ve had an account on lemmy.ml long before .world even existed and had time to make an informed opinion about tankies

Come up with arguments, and don’t rely on character assassination and conspiracy theories.
