Thanks, I figured it out. Seems silly, but helpful advice from a stranger brightened my day.

I thought something along those lines, then around age 38, I realized I was living a lie.

Mine opens with the long press of a button.

But my beep gives me a different problem, I never hear it. Imagine a shy introvert whispering, “Excuse me, if it isn’t any trouble, would you please kindly move your laundry?” From across the apartment behind several closed doors.

The end result is me nerotically checking it, and sometimes it just refused to end. Like the timer says some amount of time and nothing is happening. If I open it, the display sheepishly flashes CL, which I assume means clean and not clear.

The bigger the company, the more likely it is true. It’s a combination of narcissistic bosses and companies wanting to justify their real-estate purchases. Smaller companies tend to function just like you described instead however.

Yeah, it always helped me focus, but I do have a TBI so that is sure to be a factor.

Caffeine and nicotine function very similarly. Nicotine via baking just works way faster. So by doing caffeine, i can stay focused and alert without vaping, and it takes the edge off.
