1·14 days agoI never said your previous statement was incorrect, and I never said investing is a bad idea. I was specifically talking about investing in overinflated companies. I am myself buying diversified ETF shares every month and will continue to do so.

Technology@lemmy.world•Microsoft seemingly just revealed that OpenAI lost $11.5B last quarterEnglish
2·14 days agoSure, if you’ve invested early that’s the case. If you invest now and there’s a crash in three month, you’re likely screwed. But maybe a crash happens in a couple years or not at all for some unforeseen reason and you might be alright, it’s basically impossible to know. The point is, the worth of all these tech companies is severely overinflated and trying to make money off of their stocks is definitely possible but risky. If you’re aware of that, go right ahead.
It’s not 34%. It’s 150000.

192·14 days agoThis will no doubt keep working for a while, but eventually the bubble will burst. Without selling stocks just before that, chances are you’ll lose money, and since apparently a Nazi salute isn’t enough to crash a company nowadays, this shit is completely unpredictable.
Cock non-control, it’s only for the advanced pervert

6·22 days agoI’d say especially for beginners it’s important that Nvidia GPUs work out of the box. Someone coming from Windows would likely not think highly of an OS that needs extra steps for something that just works on Windows, and there are enough Linux distros offering just that.

372·4 months agoI think it’s definitely necessary to accept people who did bad things if they truly change and realize the problems they’ve caused. That applies not just to people who hang out with Nazis but also actual Nazis. When you get out of a far right group, you basically lose all your friends at once and if there’s nothing else to go back to, it will make people think twice before going that step even if they’re ready for it.
