You’re right, I was confusing it with them flying aid into Lebanon, the aid they’ve given to Palestine has been through Egypts crossing.

This is a historical trend, new technologies making development easier is exactly why we got 3d accelerated games in the first place. And idk what gpu you’re buying, cause mine wasn’t even $1000 and runs everything great.
It really is a bummer that idtech of all things is moving away from working on all hardware. I played through Doom Eternal my first time on a 960 at 1080p with 60fps and never a stutter.
Ray tracing can save hundreds of hours of labor time over older methods of lighting, shadowing, that devs would have to do to simulate ray tracing. Or, in many instances, thousands of hours of bake time pre-baking lighting.
China frequently criticizes Israel, and has flown aid directly into Palestine. They’re a non-interventionalist nation, and have their own issues to work through, especially with the trade war ramping up and risks of a potential hot war. You want them to get themselves cut off from the global economy by attacking Israel or something?
They can “take” paid time off, meaning their few vacation days being used because of the failure of the company. Or they can come in to clean lmao.
I don’t think there are E-Sims in China. At least, I couldn’t find one when I was there, and my wife said she’d never even heard of it. I plan to take my old phone with me next time I go and just grab a cheap SIM to have local data.
An-prim Luddite stuff.
Pretty sure his foundation received a significant amount of money from the gov that has been cut off with all these cuts, I think he’s just mourning his infinite money cheat code being turned off.
A dockworker driving their machine remotely using low latency tech like they’re using in remote surgeries could very well be more productive remote, but we won’t know until we try.
Many of the people who would have been criminalized for minor things like smoking cannabis to cope with the horrific work culture and thus are ineligible for work visas to most of the world. Many of those with the resources to do so have bought into the system and don’t know what the rest of the world is like, and there’s another group who just think the US is swell and everyone else is jealous of us and trying to come here.
It’s not, really. It would be easy to implement at any company that makes a decent profit margin. Productivity goes up with shorter working hours, anyway.
Tunic is really cool, it’s sorta based off the dudes experiences not being able to read and playing Zelda trying to use the manual to figure out wtf is going on, to my understanding.
Idk where it came from, but mirrors used to be made of silver, which is why vampires “don’t” show up in them.
Tortillas. Just tortillas. Warmed over a gas burner. It’s a comfort food to me now, but there was a time when all I had was tortillas, and it tastes better than my other struggle meal, which was a single cup of rice with whatever spices I had on hand and hadn’t put on the previous day. I lost a lot of weight around then. Still haven’t fully gained it back ten plus years later, and still struggle eating regularly more than once or twice a day.
Oh I agree that we should not be moving to strip these people of given rights, don’t get me wrong, but enfranchisement has historically been a privilege. Part of the movement towards justice has been extending that privilege to more and more people, and that seems to have positive effects on the society as a whole, but it seems metaphysical to imply that it is not something granted by the state under a nation state framework.
I’m for reeducation and re-entry into society for all but the most unredeemable, and I don’t think, as horrific as they are, most trumpers are unredeemable. We’ve seen even those most enthused and unrepentant tools of empire redeemed, such as Japanese soldiers who returned from imprisonment by the Chinese after the war to become staunch anti imperialists for the rest of their lives. Very few are incapable of growth, no matter how stunted their development may be. I don’t necessarily think fascists should be allowed to vote until they have repented their fascist views, but I also don’t think I have enough right to make that decision myself.
The humans destroyed the atmosphere, there is no solar power if the sun can’t breach the toxic clouds.
Lmao quite the opposite. I respect the Chinese people so much that I actually listen to them instead of infantilizing them by saying “I love Chinese people but hate the Chinese government”, as if the Chinese government isn’t made up of Chinese people and supported by an overwhelming majority of the Chinese people.
In fact it is. We don’t get to participate in the vast majority of our governance already. Now you could argue that a society should afford full democratic rights to all of its citizens, but that is not the system we’re living in. Even in the areas where we’re allowed to participate, we have exceptions that bar many millions of people from participating, including but not limited to prisoners and in most places ex cons.?
Can’t say for certain because I’ve never used it, but I’ve heard of a concept called promissory estoppel that might apply in situations like this.
