You want that distinct crunch as you force the RAM in with a mallet

What exploitation angle? I was paid the same minimum wage an adult would get. And as a kid that spent tons of time outdoors with friends, exploring nature, kayaking etc, it really didn’t cut into that, as you were done your shift and still had 5-6 hours of daylight to enjoy the summer. If I wasn’t working I would have wasted that time warching rerun cartoons, you can only swim so much in the pool so much before your skin prunes. lol
w7 EOL was my push, so you may be right
I worked at a farm around 12-13 saved enough to quit and buy my first computer, it was awesome. Then 13-14 working at a convienence store. I don’t see an issue working, you learn the actual value of time and money without ma and pa paying for everything. By very early 20s, I owned my own house, cars, motorcycles etc. Kids going from only school life to full time career have a terrible time adjusting to whar that life change is
Right, shouldn’t the assault, then the investigation impeded by people refusing to give ID be cause for arrest?
Given the mileage I would assume an old civic; back when they had double-wishbone front suspension still…they drove like a dream back then
But then it wouldn’t be funny on the interwebs
Reread your title dipshift
The “freedom” convey blocked ottawa streets and shut down businesses for a month, over vaccines. at that stage it was an illegal protest and to force compliance the government froze assets of the major organizers. While it is a scary overreach, the protesters were disrupting residents that lived there with constant honking in the night, the blocking of streets limited emergency workers. They seemed to think they could just do what they wanted, but peaceful protest is impeding traffic temporarily then letting traffic through, the “freedom” people trod over everyone elses freedoms and damaged the economy of that region for a month.
Containers are great to keep OS separate from apps, but VPN seems pretty integral to OS, so I don’t see an issue using rpm-ostree. Containers often prove challenging because of not being able to get permission or share data between apps ( on purpose )
It has already happened in Vancouver area, people commute in from Chilliwack to afford a home
In Britsh Columbia, Canada we get 5 Personal Emergency days as paid leave, and 3 PEL unpaid. For somebody in generally good health this is more than adequate, for somebody with health issues you would have to go to doc and get short term disability leave for extended days off
Paying for commute time for regular workers is not going to happen, for many many decades you getting to work is your own issue…thus why we find a place near highway access or near transit. asking a company to pay travel means they will just hire somebody that lives close by
Same, my manager contacts me a handful of times throughout the year, the rest of the time he trusts I’m doing what I am tasked to do. We had a company wide meeting at head office requiring travel for everyone, the schedule was on my kid’s birthday. I conveyed that I would be missing the bday, and they shifted meeting a few days to accommodate. Not all corporations are heartless slave drivers
Your own link says he was ok saying it as is. While Berliner is a donut it also is someone from Berlin.
Yep, i agree. patents are stupid, but not everyone is convinced of open sourcing everything
While that is an option for anyone, its not something I wanted. Mine is cube with 200mm fan. The lowest setting is fine for the thermals, but if I’m video processing I will toggle to high, but for voice over or a phone call comes in I drop it down low. The random up and down of the fan if left to its own device creates a noise I don’t want to deal with.
Lol. It is. Before my first coffee.
Smart is a British term for looking sharply dressed, etc. Like “Oi, Lad, don’t you look smart with the new 'aircut”
