It probably had quite a lot to do with whether the unknown man in front could possibly be the senator. If he didn’t have white skin, it’s very unlikely to have been who she thought it was.

Dude seems like a decent politician, if there is such a thing. Not perfect but overall reasonable and has shown to be able to adapt to new information and change his views accordingly. Reading politicians wikipedia articles is usually cringe after cringe, but this was alright.
