The delegation from Qiushi Journal (China) and the Editorial Board of Communist Review Journal visit and work in Khanh Hoa Province.
TCCS - Implementing the Program of Visits, Work, and Professional Exchange in Vietnam
From June 5 to June 6, 2024, a delegation from Qiushi Journal, the theoretical organ of the Communist Party of China, led by Comrade Li Wenke, Deputy Chief Editor, along with leaders of various functional units of Qiushi Journal, visited, worked, and conducted practical research in Khanh Hoa Province. Accompanying them was a delegation from the Editorial Board of the Communist Review Journal, the political theoretical organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy Chief Editor, and Party Secretary.
On the morning of June 5, 2024, receiving and working with the delegation from Qiushi Journal and Communist Review Journal, on behalf of Khanh Hoa Province, were Comrades: Nguyen Khac Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and representatives of several provincial departments, offices, and agencies. The visit and working session of the Qiushi Journal delegation were part of the international cooperation plan between Vietnam and China.
In his speech at the working session, Comrade Nguyen Khac Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, expressed his pleasure at the increasingly strengthened traditional friendship and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and China in general, and between Khanh Hoa Province and various localities in China in particular. He highlighted the recent agreement between the high-level leaders of the two countries to elevate the bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and jointly build a Vietnam-China Community with a Shared Future.
Comrade Nguyen Khac Toan emphasized that Khanh Hoa Province always considers China an important partner in various areas of cooperation, especially in investment, trade, tourism, e-government construction, digital transformation, and sustainable development. He noted that in March 2024, a delegation from Khanh Hoa Province visited several localities in China and achieved many successful outcomes.
The Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also expressed his belief that the visit and working session of the Qiushi Journal delegation in Khanh Hoa would further tighten the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and China. He hoped it would open up new cooperation opportunities in various fields such as economy, culture, tourism, science and technology between Khanh Hoa Province and the provinces and cities of China, as well as enhance the cooperative relationships between businesses from both countries.
In his speech at the working session, Comrade Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, stated that China is the main export market for Khanh Hoa Province, with key products such as lobster, durian, and bird’s nest. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, China was also the largest international tourist market for the province, with over 2.5 million visitors annually (accounting for 70% of international tourists).
Comrade Nguyen Tan Tuan expressed his hope that through the working session, Qiushi Journal would help connect, promote, and advertise to attract more Chinese investors to Khanh Hoa Province and increase the number of Chinese tourists visiting the province.
During the session, the Qiushi Journal and Communist Review Journal delegation listened to detailed reports on the socio-economic development results of Khanh Hoa Province by representatives of the Department of Planning and Investment. They also heard an overview of the province’s tourism strengths and its tourism cooperation with China by representatives of the Department of Tourism. Additionally, the head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda Department reported on the propaganda work and implementation of the Party’s resolutions and directives in the socio-economic development of the province.
In his speech at the working session, Comrade Li Wenke, Deputy Chief Editor of Qiushi Journal, expressed his pleasure in visiting Khanh Hoa Province, learning about its cultural, political, and socio-economic achievements to apply practical insights into research on the path of innovation, socialist theory, and the path to socialism in Vietnam. He also saw this visit as an opportunity for Vietnamese and Chinese media agencies to exchange experiences in researching Party theories, contributing to the development of both Parties and countries.
Following that, representatives from Qiushi Journal introduced the current modernization path and strategy of China, the basic perspective on sustainable development based on the harmony between humans and nature (one of the five core perspectives of China’s modernization strategy), and offered some suggestions for the sustainable development of Khanh Hoa Province in the coming period.
At the working session, on behalf of the Editorial Board of Communist Review Journal, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Tuan expressed his gratitude to the leaders of Khanh Hoa Province for their warm and thorough reception of the delegation. Comrade Pham Minh Tuan also highly appreciated the outcomes of the working session, expressing his belief that the working program of the Qiushi Journal and Communist Review Journal delegation in the province would further enhance the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China.
On the afternoon of June 5, 2024, within the framework of their visit to Khanh Hoa Province, the delegation from Qiushi Journal and Communist Review Journal, along with the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda Department and the Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs, visited and worked at the Sanvinest Bird’s Nest Raw Material Processing Plant of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Beverage Joint Stock Company (Sanvinest Khanh Hoa).
On June 6, 2024, the delegation visited the Agarwood Museum and the artistic construction Nha Hat Do (Bamboo Theater) in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province.
