To be honest, I think there could be value in placing a man into a woman’s place in society, like so many Trek episodes do, but the more abusive part this time. It’s no secret that coercion and rape are all over the world of movies, TV, and business.
My problem with this episode is that they played it off as a joke. “Haha he gon’ get raped” rather than “jesus fuck is this what women have to fear” was never going to be a good take. I’m surprised they dared air this episode.
