    • Brush: Maggard 24mm G5 Synthetic
    • Razor: Wolfman Guerilla (Gen 1)
    • Blade: Bolzano Superinox (German) (12)
    • Lather: Catie’s Bubbles - Royal Garden - Soap
    • Post Shave: Spearhead - Seaforth! Heather - Toner
    • Fragrance: House of Mammoth - Jitterbug - EdP

Really good shave, especially considering the 12 uses on the blade so far.

This is a fun theme and makes me reflect on my first year or two, how people kept sending me stuff without me even asking. It got to a point where I started telling people “no, please, stop”.

I got Royal Garden before competing in my first Lather Games in the year 2021. I started wetshaving in July 2020, so I had a full year to get hyped and stocked up. @Ramjet615@sub.wetshaving.social sent me this big 2 oz Cbubs sample, along with a bunch of other samples. I think I still have some of them, but this is the only one that I specifically remember coming from him.

Relevant post-shave and frag: This aftershave was given to me by my lovely wife as a birthday gift (along with matching soap and frag). Jitterbug was given to me by @mammothben@sub.wetshaving.social after I helped him a spreadsheet that changed his life forever.

    • Prep: warm water
    • Razor: Feather Popular TTO
    • Blade: Feather
    • Brush: Omega Roma Colosseo 31 mm
    • Lather: Hawkins & Brimble - Elemi & Ginseng shaving cream
    • Post Shave: Natura Siberica ASB gel

1 pass head shave plus neck contours. Except for one weeper due to the careless comfortable feeling the Popular evokes, a good shave.

As already said, the Feather Popular is a very mild and comfortable razor. It even makes Feather blades somehow more tolerable for me, but as usual they’re deceptively smooth - I only realised that I got a little weeper on my scalp when I rinsed the remaining lather off. It used to be my first safety razor ever back when I tried to get into traditional wetshaving at 18. So 12 years ago, it was a nice first experience and still continues to be a good shaver nowadays. If I don’t let it drop again (cause of death of my first one) it should be a reliable travel bag razor.

Today my classmate and I have our final week at the internship at the neurological rehabilitation centre. Finally! We can’t wait to leave this place behind us, and only now people seem to remember that we still need some stuff for our documents. So we actually had lots of interesting things shown to us and could do a few things with instructions. Actually, if most days would’ve been like this we’d be far more satisfied with the internship as a whole. Unfortunately, it now marks a low point in our retraining even if the last week should probably be our best…

Christmas in July, but in June’s Eve

    • Brush: Dogclaration LG 2022 Mystery Brush (B16)
    • Razor: Wardonia Possibly a “Rugby Set”
    • Blade: Personna Platinum
    • Lather: Eleven Shaving Blue Spruce
    • Post Shave: PannaCrema Nero
    • Fragrance: Spearhead Shaving Company Seaforth! 3 Scots

Christmas Eve! This sub is so damn generous that I had lots of choice today ♥

Theme: All around great guy and Chief Podcast Djustice u/OnionMiasma has a 100% participation rate so far in this year’s Lather Games. Thank you for letting me try this soap from a new-to-me soaper, Onion!

Relevant post & frag (and razor, and brush…): Everything in this shave was received with no exchange of currency involved from someone who is involved in the games in some way: The post shave was a gift from u/VisceralWatch, my friend and one of the two wettubers I follow. He donates his time as a Lather Games Djudge and Podcast Guest Djustice. The razor is from my friend u/Semaj3000, who gave me this piece of Sheffield history and serves as a Djudge in the SOTD Photo Scavenger Hunt. The brush was my prize from u/declarationgrooming after I OnionMiasmaed the 2022 Lather Games, and 3 Scots was a PIF from u/Ironbeard_SYS, both of which are sponsors in this year’s games.

Challenge: I’d love a sub exclusive straight razor from Ulrik of Koraat. A big full hollow 7/8 with blacksmith finish and MOAR BOAR-green scales. (Think Sparschweinchen, but full hollow).

Ulrik did a razor exclusive for Saponificio Varesino so he’s done it before.

So did TI, they’re both gorgeous!

How many would buy a r/wetshaving straight do you think?

Excellent question. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and it’s a lot pricier than the Moar Boar 🤔

I heard that the SV razor was a big commitment for Ulrik and interfered with progress on his backlog. My understanding is that is why TI took over. Your idea of keeping it simple for him and basing it off the Piggy Bank is a great one.

Obviously, I’m in. If you get a list of interested buyers, and the numbers are reasonable, I will help you propose this to him. He normally works at risk; getting payment after the work is done. My contribution to the effort will be to reduce his risk by paying all, or some portion, of the money up front to provide incentive for the effort.

Oh, you seem really motivated! Let’s get in touch and see whether we want to spearhead something together maybe after the LG craziness is over?

Right now I don’t feel like I have any free bandwidth 😬
