Just don’t let any of your apps have permission to send you notifications. I don’t let messages notify me. I check when I check. The only app that has permission to notify me of anything is the phone app because I’m too scared there’ll be an emergency.
This is one of many reasons why I root my phone and make sure that Do Not Disturb mode actually does what it says on the tin.
That said, I still keep my old 1st Gen iPhone around because it’s now just a more expensive iPod Touch and works great for playing music.

These are my first pair. I only got them a couple of weeks ago, purely to be used with my iPod.
It’s insane how good they are for the price, even more so when you compare them to wireless buds that cost £150
I remember downloading this song (it was a bonus track on certain versions of the album) and it was called “Expert Knowledge” and I always thought that was a better title.
