One reason I like communism is because it is supposed to get rid of the state. I have a strong distrust of states - no matter how they may lean at any given moment. The more power you give it, the more power there will be to one day be abused. Yet of course, communities still need organization. I want to a see horizontal organizations that actually work for the community members and don’t create hierarchies. Systems can be good if the incentives are properly aligned so that they don’t call for individuals to be exploited. I’m an anarchist, aka classical libertarian. I am very left but I share some of the same concerns you do, and it sounds like we’d like to see some of the same outcomes too.
