    Agree with this. The old sub seemed to have a massive influx of users from /r/Australia which decreased the overall quality of discussion i feel.

      Lock downs brought a lot of new members, but I think the catalyst was the GME saga. Don’t quote me, but I feel like it was that period that saw exponential increase in users and a subsequent shift in quality.

        what was the old direction? i think i joined reddit prior to 2020 but only discovered the sub much later
