The article really makes it seem like it’s Larian’s choice. Which seems odd to my capitalism-poisoned brain. I’d have thought maybe Hasbro was shooting themselves in the dick again and choosing to not let them make a sequel. Well I hope they find their next passion project soon. Eagerly awaiting what will come next.
I think it’s the case that the “easy to work with” people at WotC got fired and Larian realised that they wouldn’t have carte blanche on future projects like they did for BG3.
