The US has been sending literally billions of dollars every single year to Israel for multiple decades and you think they aren’t puppet mastering this one? It’s not strictly the US, but without US and western support Israel would have lost this war a long time ago.
Iran does throw a lot of money and weapons at Hamas, but only because that has the effect of harming Israel, not because they give a shit about Palestinians. Just imagine how much good could have been done if Iran instead helped develop infrastructure and invested in the Palestinian economy instead.

There is no real way to invest into Gaza’s economy tho. It is under embargo, and everything that used to go in, went in through Israel. Israel checked everything for possible military applications. So no concrete, no wood. No plastics / 3d printing filament even. Want a new type of velcro, that has hook and loop on the same side, and sticks to itself? Apparently it’s a weapon of mass destruction, since you can’t get it in.
