Has he said this is his last movie like the last 3?
I once researched a bit on Miyazaki and I laughed when I read a book from 2001 where the author lamented that “now, Spirited Away will be truly Miyazaki’s last movie”. Like, it goes back to even before that that he announced to be out.
This man. Can’t quit smoking, can’t quite anime production, can’t quit vim.
“I can stop whenever I want. I just choose not to.”
I wonder how the “no marketing, no trailer” will go for them. I’m sure people will show up to theaters anyways because it’s a Studio Ghibli movie though! But seems risky though, like only fans of the studio will hear about it and be interested, not much from anyone else.
Ghibli in Imax? If that isn’t enough, then we don’t deserve another.
Also, I’m kind of hoping it isn’t so crowded I can’t get good seats. Like I want it to be successful, but also selfishly not too successful.
