So I never got deep into anime but I’ve been slowly working through my backlog of mostly Studio Ghibli movies and this morning Grave of the Fireflies jumped out as sounding interesting.
I was surprised to see it looks like there are THREE different English dubs and was wondering which is everyone’s favorite or if there is a fan consensus on which is “the best” version.
I assume the original Japanese with subtitles is the best way to watch it and I will probably rewatch it that way myself, I’ll be watching with someone who English is a second language and just can’t keep up with subtitles.
Honestly, I don’t know many people who have watched Grave of the Fireflies more than once. It is one of those movies that absolutely everyone should experience, but it’s so devastating that you never really want to repeat.
Basically I am saying that I have no idea what the difference is between the dubs and it might be hard finding someone who does.
