Here I’m undocking the ISRU lander. I wanted to design a ship that wasn’t lugging around unused lander engines by having them used as part of the main engines too. The lander also has all the science tools that can be used while landed, while the main ship has the science tools that can only be used in orbit along with a lab. The lander can make it to orbit of kerbin on its own, so it should be able to handle most planets and moons. I still need to test if the whole ship has enough delta v to make it from planet to planet.

The idea is to re-fuel it, so I guess that would also be the number while in orbit
Oh wow. Your ship must be incredibly heavy. That’s a lot of mass to get into orbit.
Some of my normal Mun/Minmus landers have 8500-9000m/s for full return flights. Have you made it past them yet?
Update: after refueling at Minimus it was able to make it to Gilly. After refueling at Gilly it made it to orbit of Moho but again didn’t have enough to land. I’m gonna go back to the VAB and throw some more fuel tanks on the main ship.
Oh and I looked to see the total mass of the ship is 3000 tons.
It was able to make it to the orbit the Mun but didn’t have enough to land, so I threw 8 big solid fuel boosters on it for the initial launch. That allowed it to make it to orbit of Minimus and land the ISRU lander. Now I’m working on refueling. Next I’ll see if it has enough to make it to Ike.
