Yep. Note the marriages are legal “with parental permission”. It’s basically a way for both sides to treat daughters as tradable property.

IS there even threat of eternal punishment? Wasn’t Hell basically described simply as a place where people who don’t follow God go? IIRC the fiery depths of torturing were created because people were not really bothered by original. Same with goat lookin Satan, which at first was shown how he was described - as a fallen angel.
