[14:21] After WWII, the US pumped Europe full of cash and security guarantees to rebuild it into a wall of friendly democracies. During the Cold War, they kept their defense budget up. But once the Soviet Union threat faded, a lot of them hit the brakes on spending.
The main fear has always been the same, getting steamrolled from the east and handed a government they didn’t vote for. That’s why so many countries sprinted to join NATO in the 1990s. Nobody wanted to end up under Moscow’s boot.
I like how the fear is never substantiated (in this video nor real life). It’s just assumed the Soviet Union wanted to invade the West, even though they were licking deep wounds inflicted on them in WWII.
And then, it’s similarly assumed that the post-Cold War Russian Federation (now led by a drunken US puppet) would also want to invade the West, because the Slavic brainpan cannot comprehend peace.
At the same time, Russian fears regarding NATO expansion to Russia’s borders are completely unjustified and unreasonable.
[9:40] We know that Russian FSB has been operating deep in Western Europe on sabotage missions
Is there a story I missed? Or is this just another NATO conspiracy theory rooted in psychological projection that was repeated often enough to become “common knowledge”?
They blew up their own pipeline!
Friday a few weeks ago my favorite beer was sold out and I had to go with my second favorite instead.
I’m not saying it was FSB sabotage, but it was definitely FSB sabotage.
NATO backpack nukes mentioned!
And GLADIO too! Not a bad video.
