tl;dr- s23 ultra with snapdragon 8 gen 2 performed much better under heavy load than the 3nm a17 pro on iphone 15 pm
which shows - 1. node size is useless as a17 pro was more inefficient 2. android apps are also optimised, sometimes better than iOS 3. bechmark scores are useless
Am I the only one that just doesn’t understand the notion of aiming for console quality on a phone?
Maybe having super high details pn a phone screen doesn’t make sense, but the computing power can still be used in other ways. Maybe standalone consoles stop being a thing and we’ll use our phones like a Nintendo Switch, just plugging it into the TV when we want to. Maybe VR headsets actually are the future.
Who knows.
I mean, why not?
I mean sure, but if I want to play games, I can either use my Switch if I’m on the go, or use my PC if I’m at home. Personally, my phone has a set of functions, but at no point have I ever felt the need to add “play games” to that
Its cool that you have all that, but not everyone can. Console quality on a phone implies a nicer experience for those who only have a phone.
