It’s still a sitcom at its core. If you don’t like sitcoms, you won’t like Community most likely.

I mean, the pilot is one of the weaker episodes in the series. They hadn’t quite figured out what they wanted to do with the characters.

Historically the pilot episode is always the golden standard of a show, of course. In fact you really only need to see the cold open of any pilot and you’ll fully understand everything that the show will be about.
