Love the energy, but the sad reality is that Conservatives don’t care about a dozen preschoolers being raped and murdered. The only thing that they care about is being part of the “in” group and that the “in” group is winning. I don’t know how you convince them that a person isn’t part of the “in” group. I think it can only be done by a prominent member of the “in” group denouncing them.

House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, called it “a tale as old as time. Politician takes action that makes money for his family and then he tries to conceal it.”
As above, during that time frame, Joe Biden wasn’t an elected official, hence not a politician. Jordan’s quip should instead read, “Person takes action that makes money for his family, and there’s nothing wrong with that.”
And that’s only if the allegations they’re making are true.
I mean, he didn’t have much power during this time, and most of it he didn’t even have a job. I would be making money off of my name, too. Isn’t that what all politicians do when they aren’t in office?

Being a politician or related to one doesn’t give you the right to take barely veiled bribes just because you dont want to get a real job like some peasant.

Bribes don’t have to be for a specific thing you want right this second dude. Garnering favor with those close to or in power doesn’t need an explicit predefined goal. Just because he wasn’t holding public office at the time doesn’t mean he didn’t have any political power, or that it was somehow unlikely that he’d ever hold a public office again.
