Tie your knickers up. The viking probably brought it back from his travels. This is not a sign that extreme muslim immigration to the nordics has always been the norm.

Don’t know why that was your immediate reaction, but okay.

You are reading like my nephew was at ~4 years old. Opened up a book demonstratively and started reading out loud what he’d imagine could be written in there. It’s funnier when it’s a 10cm thick brick of a book in an old leather casing and he reads how the kangaroo gifts his bunny friend a firetruck Lego set. You doing that same thing with a great replacement obsession is tragically pathetic.

Just a community for everyone to share artifacts, reconstructions, or replicas for the historically-inclined to admire!

Generally, an artifact should be 100+ years old, but this is a flexible requirement if you find something rare and suitably linked to an era of history, not a strict rule. Anything over 100 is fair game regardless of rarity.

Generally speaking, ruins should go to !historyruins@lemmy.world
