    Explanation: The children yearn for the Legions

    (Little Boots is the nickname of an infamous Roman Emperor, Caligula, who got the name because as a child, his father would dress him up in a soldier’s uniform and take him around the Legion camps - the soldiers loved this, and called him ‘Caligula’ because he wore little soldiers’ boots as part of his uniform)

    I would have loved this as a kid. It might have been enough to make me diligent and industrious.

        When I visited my relatives in the countryside they used to make me do chores on the farm. But I didn’t get to wear a legionary’s kit while doing so. That would have made all the difference.
