    The drawback of being early is that every BBS you connected to still had 300 baud, so it didn’t matter for a while. But when you did match up with another 1200, it felt like warp speed. The only thing that ever beat it was the jump from fast 56k dial-up to cable modem. That was insane.

      Yeah I remember this being the case when u first got my 9600 but most warez boards were still 2400

      I forget which YouTube personality i saw that showed these off but those looked rad when I saw it. A bit pricy.

    I had this literal model. I don’t think there were many options, so probably most people who had modems had them, but still.
