Can I get a link to that finding? It sounds a bit fishy.
One thing I remember when I saw this discussed before is that it doesn’t take into account whether or not those vacant properties are inhabitable.
Nor their location. It doesn’t help if a dying rural town has a hundred empty homes because nobody wants to move there.
And there’s no jobs there to afford continuing to live there
