Here's how to request that your personal information not be used to train Meta's AI model. "Request" is the operative word here.

        Don’t have Instagram.

Unless FB is going to run Instagram like stories and advertisements on WhatsApp, don’t care that much. Not very active on it anyway

But I copied and pasted that definitely legally binding status update saying I didn’t authorize them to use my data.

No, it’s pretty easy, just inconvenient. Let’s not get it twisted. Need a guide?

Edit: I too have groups for school, parents groups, work, hobbies, etc… that I ‘need’ to be in. I refuse and make them find a work around all the while schooling the ignorant folks on privacy and why it’s important. Personally anything else is just a cop out.

They literally ad d ed the tagging function on images to improve their facial detection so I doubt that this is a surprise to anyone!

Not surprised. Anything you see online is being fed to some garbage AI. Either they say it or they don’t say anything and scrape it anyway

I had to check the date on this article - somehow, it’s from September of 2023.ev.

We’ve known this for how long, exactly? Over a decade? Maybe a bit less?
