“Adapt Sound” basically does a hearing test and then automatically equalizes your headphones or speakers accordingly. I have a hearing impairment and need this feature.

If it doesn’t you could probably try to manually adjust the volume in each ear.
The Mi 10t Lite 5g does, or at least something similar. I found a guide to it while looking for a way to turn off the headphone safety limit. I’ll try to find it again now 👍
EDIT: under Settings - Sound & Vibration - Sound Effects, there’s a section called Sound Optimisation that has a Volume Adjustment sub section. You need headphones connected to open the section, but I’m pretty sure that lets you set the sound to your preferences :)
