I know this is not a popular take, but in my opinion The Simpsons Arcade wasn’t a very good game. I believe it’s purely a novelty product, it falls short when compared to almost any other well known beat’em up from the era.

This looks better than Silksong to me, I couldn’t get into Hollow Knigth (thank goodness for that). I’ll wishlist it.
Awesome!
That was a pretty cool video. It’s nice to know some people took (and still do) children’s entertainment seriously, and didn’t use it just as a rhetorical shield against the critisism of their work. Apart from delivering a good message, the games also seem extremely well made in general.
Great! I’ll make sure to add it to my wishlist 👍
I love the minimalist artstyle you went with and the plot sounds awesonote, is it going to be a complete story?
How you use the device is what matters. I use my smartphone to read books for example, and on YouTube I watch a lot of informative content.
What’s addictive is the pre-installed social media apps on our smartphones, that is what needs to be regulated.
Holy crap dude, that’s awful. I frequently forget to use my potions of invisibility as well, gotta stop doing that.
That’s it, I’m filtering all the posts with “remaster” on the title.
Actually I’m in my 20s myself. I just can’t see games like Call of Duty 4, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, GTA 4 and The Last of Us as retro when they are largely identical to what we would expect from a modern AAA title.
2007 was a long time ago, but not much has changed since then in mainstream big budget game development.
I honestly don’t agree with that at all. 360 and PS3 are old but their games aren’t very different compare to the big budget games of today. A few fads ended and others took their place, but that’s it. To me retro systems end with the Wii, mainly because Wii was just an overclocked Gamecube.
This year the original SMB will be forty years old.
I heard about Super Meat Boy quite a bit, it always popped up in must play indie games lists. I never heard of Trine before, so it’s definitely not the same.
Also, depending on where you live, reading digitally might be your only option.
I was beginning to fear the channel ran it’s course, this looks amazing. I hope it’s a sign Uncle Derek hasn’t ran out of topics yet.
I found and beat it in the main Celeste campaign, it was pretty fun.
Awesome! I’ll check it out.
I’ll check it out. I still need to read Elfquest.
Oh yeah, the Geoff Johns stuff. I didn’t know Halo and Hornsby was by them too. I didn’t read any of their books yet (I usually wait until a series is done or has a large enough backlog) though they didn’t give me 80s indie comic vibes when I saw them.
Wow this looks so good.
