My friend calls it a nipple and steals it in the moment I open my laptop.
Especially with software you really want to know which goverment has the ability to force the company to give them your personal data.
In fact, I do download apks from various sources. I just had to dismiss some false positives (ReVanced IIRC) so I decided it’s useless because if it’s not false positive I would probably still dismiss it, especially if told to do so by (malicious) devs.

For me the main difference is that KDE wants to be customized, whereas GNOME does not. You can theme gnome, but they don’t like it and will not make it easy. As for css customizations, I themed some gtk (not gnome) apps and really don’t want to do it again. The css is some weird flavor that doesn’t support half of css features and you can’t edit the “html” so targeting some elements is really difficult.
