  • I’d argue the opposite.

Canada’s Liberals are bullies. Massive bullies. They bully their own MPs and ministers, they bully their own people, and when they felt like they could get away with it they bullied the US president. And they spent 10 years spitting on the retarded kid in charge of the United States, And now they’re shocked that the retarded kid is fighting back.

We’d be in a totally different scenario if we had a leader like Chretien in charge, he dealt with the bully George W. Bush by being wily and clever, not by trying to out-bully the bully. But that’s not how der fuhrer Trudeau functions. He only has one mode, and it doesn’t work when he’s not the most powerful person in the room. His little toadies only know the same language by the way. Freeland is claiming she should be the next party leader because Trump is afraid of her. No, he isn’t. He just doesn’t like you because you’re a jerk.

Trump isn’t like a native justice minister, Trudeau can’t just kick him out of the party for not doing as he’s told. He can’t tell Trump to sit down and shut up like he did his first secretary. He can’t demote Trump like he did to Freeland when she didn’t go along with his vote buying scheme late last year. When he’s not able to do that, the pathetic nature of his one note bullying becomes clear.

  • As a Canadian, I can’t help but point out that our retarded leaders brought this on themselves.

We spent the past 10 years falling over ourselves to be the people who hated orange man the most, and now we’re shocked that he doesn’t really care to be nice to us.

And every single person who ran on the conservative ticket was magically “Canada’s Trump” up to and including Poilievre, and it was meant as an insult and an attack. But a lot of Canadians actually sort of want a Trump right about now. Even Erin O’Toole, who lost the election for being far too lefty was “Canada’s Trump” to them, because “Trump” is just a synonym for “Evil enemy” and now we’ve got 25% tarrifs incoming.

  • Of issues I have with solar, “we won’t be able to farm” isn’t one of them. The amount of space required for even gigawatt level solar farms is relatively trivial. I think I did the math and it was like 30km square or something, which is enough to convince a lot of greens it’s a bad choice because it’s big and ugly, but on a map isnt really that that much.

  • It’s gonna keep happening until they start making games for people who play them again.

A chunk of the games industry is making games for board room executives.

A chunk of the games industry is making games for the media.

A chunk of the games industry is making games for political insiders.

    Problem is,

Board room executives are supposed to be selling games, they aren’t the primary customers themselves.

The media is supposed to be talking about games for people who play games, they aren’t the primary customers themselves.

Political insiders are just hoping to use poorly produced propaganda to change hearts and minds, they aren’t the primary customers themselves.

And so most people just keep playing and buying games that were made for people who play games, since they aren’t board room executives, part of the media, or political insiders.

A lot of the more simplistic things said about games today are actually just heuristics for games only made for these three groups. “Oh, it has X, it was made for the New York Times, not for me.” “Oh, it has Y, it was made for continuous monetization, not for me.” “Oh, it has Z, this was made to spread a message, not for me.” Then people get all defensive about X Y and Z, not realizing it’s just a heuristic and most people will play a good game with all 3 if it’s good, but given how expensive games are, a heuristic that’s mostly accurate is enough to scare a lot of people away from a game. How many hours does it take you to earn the 100 dollars they’re floating for GTA6?

  • Well, one thing to keep in mind is that most people haven’t been buying cars.

My car is starting to get older, and my plan right now is to continue maintaining it because compared to the cost of replacing it the cost of keeping it is so much lower. And I’m not doing that bad. Most households are doing a lot worse than I am, and so they’re probably looking at the astronomical prices of vehicles post covid and making the completely reasonable decision not to get anything.

So it’s easy for 90% of the vehicles sold to be electric because most of the vehicles being sold are luxury items for the rich rather than things that individuals need to live day to day.
