One of the most captivating video game experience I have ever had. Most of the time it’s just a great atmosphere, some moments are stressful without being violent.

The explanation don’t explain why AE must be a diameter of the circle. What makes that obvious?
Launching from Norway over the ocean means launching due north or slightly west (the spaceport website says 90 to 110° inclination). West is the “wrong” way for fuel efficiency (probably not so important at these high inclination). These polar orbit are more useful for low earth orbit (earth observation mainly), a satellite can change its inclination but that’s more fuel and less useful payload mass. With inclination change, the site could be used to launch constellations.
Big communication satellite need to launch at lower inclination (closer to the equator and due east).
So it makes sense only for some use case, but it’s great to see redundancies. And if it works well, maybe some day they could get a pas in french Guyana.

That’s a good game.
One of the main developers presented this project at FOSDEM.
(He is a Mozilla employee but made a point to tell it was not affiliated with Mozilla and was working on it on his spare time)
Ok, that’s enough Lemmy… Time to put the phone down.
olosta@lemmy.worldto Buildapc@lemmy.world•Suggestions for upgrade from Ryzen 2200G in current day?2·3 months ago- Not sure about with graphics, but I have 5700x3d (upgraded from3600 on a520 board nad I’m happy with it) it needs a cooler though
- don’t know but not sure why you would want integrated graphics since you have a decent dedicated GPU
- I think it’s going to be fine
- No it’s not possible but it looks like your motherboard has 3 sata ports.

- it’s precise, you can really aim small UI elements
- It is paired with actual buttons, index on the nub and thumb on the buttons, so no weird gestures to right click
- It is very quick to switch from keyboard to mouse, your hands nearly don’t move
But, there’s no mouse wheel or scroll gesture and maintaining pressure on the nub is maybe more tiring than a trackpad.

There’s probably a very large legal exposure for a registrar to let criminal website use their service if they are made aware of it, so reducing their liability is probably their highest priority.
BrandShield is inexcusable for using such a claim as a first step.
Second degree cousins is not that close though. If every generation has three children, that’s 27 persons. I thinks that for most of human history excluding second degree cousins from the acceptable partners pool would have been impossible. Communities were not that big.
olosta@lemmy.worldto Map Enthusiasts@sopuli.xyz•World map showing whether countries have more males or femalesEnglish10·6 months agoThis is probably on the whole population, so predominantly male immigration is likely the main reason.
The map is not very helpful about what is actually depicted but wikipedia has similar data with a breakdown by age :
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states_by_sex_ratio
Qatar for instance is not very high (this is a ratio of number of male over number of female) on the “at birth” and “0-14” age bracket with 1.02. it’s actually a bit lower than western countries.
The data is still concerning in some countries with notably larger “at birth” ratio and even an increase in th “0-14” age bracket.
No we are not attributing fries to the Belgian, fries are french. The Belgian improved on our invention and make the best fries, but Frenchs invented it.

Traditionally virtual tty 1 through 6 were text terminal. So X used the 7th, that’s why some older forums tells you to go there.
Nowadays, the graphical session manager will spawn on vtty 1, and sessions will dynamically use the others. So on a mostly single user computer, Ctrl+alt+F2 is likely to work. With multiple users, you can actually switch users or come back to the session manager this way.
If you switch to an unused vtty, systemd will spawn a text login prompt. And when you login, some logind dark magic makes the system realize your are entitled to hear the audio output of your application still running on your graphical session.
Valheim uses proton? I’m pretty sure it ran natively a few years back.
