Serious question because I never had any handhelds back in that era, but what made the Vita suck? I’ve heard there’s some great games on it despite opinions about the console and it’s always been unanimous that the PSP was great, but how did Sony screw it up? Not going out and buying either one right now, but I never really see specific reasons mentioned.

Yep, one of the best ways I’ve seen it put and will now repeat back very poorly is that you need to treat tolerance as a social contract. I think another part of it is that gaming as a kid and gaming as an adult are for entirely different purposes a lot of the time. I still game for entertainment, but also as a way to unwind. It’s just relaxing to me and if I can get into a strongly written storyline, the stresses of my day fade away.

But as a kid, I gamed because gaming was flashy and fun and challenging, and then I wanted to talk to my friends about it after I beat yet another game.

Many years ago I realized that I had mostly blue shirts for work and wanted to mix it up a bit. Went to the store, tried on everything I was buying, and came home with all blue shirts. Lol now I purposely buy at least a couple vibrant, non-blue shirts as my first picks every time I shop for clothing just to make sure there’s some variation. Yes, it’s still mostly blue.

To each their own. I get the need to have historical chat and all, and I run a Mattermost server for friends for the last few years and I depend on history there too. But on Signal it’s really just what I use with work peeps for after hours non-Teams IT chat in case something breaks and they needs emergency help since we all basically mute notifications for Teams after work.
