I guess this is an unpopular opinion, but I liked Xenocide. It’s a good book. Oh, of course it’s not anywhere near the level of Ender’s Game and Speaker for the Dead, but I enjoyed it. Ending was a bit weird and that’s why I didn’t start a sequel yet. Maybe it helps that I listened to audio book and didn’t read the physical book. Some books are more digestible in audio form imo. Or, because I go through 120 plus books in a year, my picture of a terrible book is different.

Isn’t soft cap of vigor like 40?

When I was first playing Elden Ring years ago, I just got stats that I needed for my main weapons, and then I put everything to vigor until I had 40.

Having the bug that gives you 20% more souls and exploring the whole game, I had so much money that I didn’t know what to do with it.

Before the end of the game I had all stats on their soft caps and was working on second soft caps for them.

Not includidng dlc, havent played that yet.

  • When I tell people I don’t want kids, the most common responses are: Won’t you be lonely? Who will take care of you when you are old?

It seems like to me that a lot of people are having kids just so that somebody can take care of them when they are old. People like that are not very good parents in my experience. And so, even when they are old, their kids barely speak to them and don’t take care for them, because they didn’t take care of their kids.

I feel like I wouldn’t be a very good parent. I value my free time too much and freedom to go whenever and wherever I want.

I use Steam Chat for playing games with family and friends. It has better audio quality than discord in my opinion, and you can make groups (something like Discord servers) too. It doesn’t have all the functionality of servers, but the basic idea is there.

I am actually surprised nobody mentioned it yet Why use some third party application, when you can use the Steam’s one.

It’s not like the OP is concerned about privacy. They were using discord. They didn’t say it has to be open source.

For talking outside of gaming or away from PC, I use signal.
