Oh, it’ll be more than that!
I have had touchscreen laptops at work, and I’ve had touchscreen chromebooks for personal use and I love the option of the touchscreen, but it isn’t something I use exclusively. Sometimes, while typing it’s much easier and faster to ‘click’ on a link, or new field, by tapping my screen rather than grabbing my mouse or going to a touchpad. I agree that trying to use the screen on a laptop while it is in ‘laptop mode’ is difficult, but there is a use case where it’s preferred, and I end up with fingerprints on my non-touchscreen screens when I forget which computer I’m on.
I agree… I love my Macbooks for how well the hardware works, and I love how I can open up terminal and do pretty much anything I want. What I don’t like is how consumer hostile it is when it comes to being able to upgrade or repair. I also don’t like Apple’s insistence on telling me what I do and do not want in a product. According to Steve Jobs no one wants a touchscreen on their laptop, and even though he’s been dead for over a decade and the market has shown otherwise, they still don’t have a touchscreen Macbook (and if they ever do release one they’ll fawn over how innovative they are for doing so).
“breakthrough in smaller better battery tech” is a recurring headline seen for the better art of 20 years.
And the batteries we have today are VASTLY better than what we had 20 years ago. Progress is always slow, but as far as batteries are concerned the progress that’s been made has been incredible.
Here’s a Youtube link (couldn’t find a peertube link).
I love the guy who shows up and says “Ur ur a ur ur” and then just nods his head like he solved it.
To be fair, in 1996 both the Senate and the House were controlled by republicans, those the bill passed both chambers by an overwhelmingly bipartisan majority. Even if Clinton wanted to veto the bill, Congress would have still been able to push it through.
If they expand then they’ll end up just another evil corporate ISP, and/or if they start getting large enough one of the other ISPs will buy them up.
They don’t need to expand, there just needs to be many more small, ultra local providers.
Or, it’s been rushed through the current administration and we’ll find out in 12+ years just how dangerous it is.
My senator and representative are in on the grift and every time I reach out to them they try to gaslight me. I’ll keep it up, but it’s so tiring.
I’m an IT manager and today I had the director of HR bring me her new iphone asking if I can help her set it up. Um, no… first, that isn’t my job, and second, I have no idea how to setup an iphone. I assume it’s an easy process but I’ve never done it before and have more pressing matters to attend to instead of fiddling with her new phone.
Or a letter from my college saying that my club has been “sanctioned”.
Upvoting because you are technically right, even though I will never accept that as the definition of literally - and I know this literally puts me in the wrong.
This is apparently a great weight loss mushroom. If you eat it you will experience rapid weight loss through vomiting and diarrhea. You might experience some cramping discomfort.
Seriously, do not eat this mushroom, it likely won’t kill you but you won’t enjoy it.
I have the number of friends that I want, and I keep in touch with them by sending them messages any time I want to share sometime with them. Some friends I talk with every day I haven’t seen in person in over 3 years, and we have no problem with that.
It’s in Spanish but your browser should be able to translate.
Might I suggest: Tebya ne trakhnut, tak chto ne verti zadnitsey
The National Guard left shortly after 1 p.m., once protesters approached with their hands raised in the air.
So, you treat the National Guard the same as a black bear? Just make yourself appear larger and they will leave.
May you always look back on the puppy months and remember the cuteness… and forget the middle of the night trips outside, the early mornings, the late nights, the chewed up [furniture | shoes | cords | etc.], accidents on the carpet, biting, scratching and constant ball of energy (between naps) of this cute little bundle of fur.
(I’m currently 10 weeks into puppy training my new mini goldendoodle and I’m optimistic that the worst is now behind us)
“Hi, I want to introduce you to my mom, my dad, and my Tim.”
