Middletown is in rough shape and has been for years. It’s part of the Rust Belt and has long been neglected by failed economic policies. Nearby towns now use it as a dumping ground for their homeless population. It was hit particularly hard by the opioid epidemic.

I voted last weekend at the local Board of Elections and it took nearly an hour. There were a ton of people, but the BOE has their process down very well. I think urban areas like these are going to be pretty busy.
