just call them dragonfucker
And I still don’t know what you’re on about. Unless you didn’t understand that Drag is short for Dragonfucker

Thank you. It’s been…a wild couple of days haha.
I appreciate this a lot
We once had a small trans flag taped to a wall at my workplace… It lasted all of one week before a customer walked up, reached over the counter, and ripped it up lol.
We put a bigger one up later on, on a different wall way out of reach.
Yeah, and that’s understandable. I just didn’t have the full details at the time, but I do understand now.
Communication is definitely something we have to work on. Both between us and you, and between ourselves. Even after this whole mess, I feel like there were things that us mods should have communicated before taking action. This whole ordeal has definitely been a learning experience for us.
The table blending in with the floor makes the cat look bigger than the stove
You literally just told everybody that the mods disagreed with the neopronouns policy that Ada created over the Drag drama. None of us did, and it had nothing to do with why we wanted to move.
I understand that you don’t want to feel like you’re in the wrong, but you are. You are putting words in our mouths and we’re being labeled bigots because of it.
??? You just misgendered Drag, so I’m not sure what you’re on about.
(I mean, Drag did say “they” was acceptable at one point, but I’m still not sure what you’re on about)
I’m not sure what you’re confused about, honestly.
People harassed Drag and that wasn’t okay, but during the backlash you mentioned in your post, many people pointed out that Drag had a legitimate history of “trolling”, the most egregious of which was telling someone repeatedly to kill themselves, along with general calls for violence from and the suicide of trans people. We banned Drag for this.
So when Ada made her post, it looked like she was calling us out for labeling Drag a troll, and indeed that is the narrative a lot of you ran with.
So now that you’ve had a hand in perpetuating this misunderstanding, I’d appreciate it if you set the record straight. Because frankly, I’m sick of people like you labeling me and the other mods as bigots. I’m sick of you guys putting words in our mouths. If you’re going to make a “writeup” about us, then tell them the real reason we wanted to leave LBZ.
Just make sure it’s not a scam. :p No handing over until payment is received.
It’s so tempting to pin this for no particular reason
I needed this in my life today
There’s no mod actions because I’ve resolved the reports against him without action. Harassing and insulting me is one thing when it’s in the spirit of criticism, but he started doing it to another user unrelated to any of this before I went to sleep last night.
So I told him to chill, and he seems to have done that.
However, 196 moderator @moss and their team remained unhappy with the policy.
Not a single mod disagreed with this policy. While I’m sure it wasn’t her intention, Ada’s post certainly made it seem like it, though. You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve had to tell people why Drag was banned after she posted it.
Someone animate this
However, 196 moderator @moss and their team remained unhappy with the policy.
None of us disagreed with this policy, and Drag was not banned over neopronouns. Drag was banned for an egregious level of harassment of another user + encouraging violence from and the suicide of trans people.
If y’all think that’s acceptable behavior, that’s fine, but keep it the fuck away from us. Half of the mod team is trans, and we don’t need that shit in our lives.
Whatever you feel hasn’t been addressed, go for it.
This keeps being referenced as “the problem” but really isn’t what people are commenting on.
We know. That’s why we wrote things like:
What about the possibility of more trolls, neoliberals, bad actors, sealions, and transphobes on Lemmy.world?
Another huge issue was that the mods and the community were not on the same page regarding lemmy.world, their admins, and their policies. We understand the concern about trolls/bad-actors/transphobes, but we’ve been in contact with the lemmy.world admins for a while now, and they’ve assured us that they’d allow us to moderate our community however we saw fit. All this being said, we still failed to communicate that to the community before taking action, which has undermined any assurances that we have given after the fact. We cannot apologize enough for that.
We addressed a lot of other things in the post, too. If there’s anything we missed, I encourage you to voice it here.
Jesus Christ, spujb, no it is not. I know what’s in that post because I wrote a significant portion of it, and revised everything else.
Nothing that we wrote suggested our move was motivated by Ada’s policy towards respecting trans identities or neopronouns. We were very clear that our differences with Ada stem from her heavy-handed mod actions.
If you don’t want any ill will, a good start would be to stop putting words in our mouths. Especially words that incite harassment against us. I’m done arguing with you. Do the right thing or don’t, I’m not your boss.
