Mastodon is pretty left leaning. I’m sure there are some Marxist instances, but I can’t imagine any of the popular ones would be hostile towards you.

This is great news!
For those unaware, Google is continuously enacting policies that are closing down the open environment of Android, and I fear this will significantly harm projects like GrapheneOS, CalyxOS, and others.
If you can spare a couple dollars, please consider throwing some money at PostmarketOS or any other mobile Linux project you like.

There are definitely plenty of Democratic missteps regarding immigration. I will not argue with you on that.
But if were an immigrant in the U.S, there’s no doubt in my mind who I’d be voting for. One side is trying to expand legal pathways to citizenship, allow families that are in the U.S. to remain, and avoid punishing children who have only ever known a home that’s been in the U.S.
The other group is rounding up immigrants to be sent to Alligator Alcatraz or prisons in El Salvador.
Does one option seem slightly better to you? Or would you agree with the OP, that both sides are equally terrible and it’s just too hard to choose?

So, what is your solution?
Sure, there are views that Democrats have shifted right on, but there are just as many that have stayed in place or even moved left.
Like it or not, the “lesser of two evils” approach is the only viable option right now, even if progress is only minor and incremental. The Overton Window isn’t going to make an impossible jump to socialism overnight.

This is such a dangerous take, and I strongly ask that you re-evaluate.
I certainly have my complaints about the Democrats. But the erosion of women’s rights, trans rights, consumer rights, free speech, immigrant rights, and much more is coming from one side of the aisle, and its not the blue side.
The argument that both sides share equal blame is extremely disingenuous, divorced from reality, and is the reason that we’re in this current mess.
Instances can be created freely, and are free to both associate and disassociate with other instances as they please.
Each instance decides their comfort with content within their instance and outside it. There are left leaning instances, centrist ones, and I’m sure a few right leaning ones. Some are ban-happy, but many will allow you to post all sorts of content, as long as it’s not too outlandish.
If the content you wish to see/post is wildly outside the overton window, you can join an instance that allows this or create your own. But other instances are under no obligation to federate with content they don’t wish to see.
