22 seconds on his teammate while starting 4 places behind him…
I wonder who from today’s grid, when given a Red Bull car is able to give Max a real challenge? Charles? Lando? I think Oscar looks promising. I don’t see anyone in RB’s current line up being on par with Max.
Of all the drivers and you don’t pick the obvious pick?? Lewis Hamilton. I’d also say maybe Alonso and Leclerc.
Lando would put up a better fight than Perez though, but probably not over a whole season. Same with a couple of others.
Odds of Ham in a Red Bull are nill, Him in a Ferrari though? Maybe…
Hamilton is a Mercedes driver. I don’t see him even considering RB.
Whether we like it or not, age has a massive effect on driver’s performance. Lewis might still have it, Alonso too but the young guns like LEC, NOR, and PIA… They’re hungry for a championship win.
I mean it’s also unlikely af for the drivers that you mentioned. Other than Perez, Yuki or Ric no one is close to a Red Bull car.
I took your question as an hypothetical focusing purely on driver quality and not on the feasibility of them getting to a Red Bull.
Based on that interpretation your question has no answer, because no driver that is close to a Red Bull can get anywhere near Max.
I read your parent comment as being hypothetical, not tied to the driver actually having to have a contract with a team.
The only drivers who I think would trouble him are Hamilton, Norris, Piastri (maybe, he’s got the pace but lacking experience), and Alonso. Leclerc is fast but too error prone.
Thank you for the spoiler-free title. The results table image seems like a good compromise.
Yeah, easy enough to recognize and skip over if I haven’t seen the race yet
Tsunoda managing to score a point here is exactly what he needs to show, even if it required Sainz and Piastri retiring.
Daniel Ricciado should have been 18th
Why?
Tsunoda only got a point through Sainz and Piastri retiring. If they hadn’t then Danny would have been 18th.
Glad I didn’t bother watching.
It was actually a very exciting race this time. Lots of fights and crazy overtakes.
Ocon’s overtake on Tsunoda was 🤌💋
That one was extra spicy
It was a good race even if you only care for who gets first place.
Lando going on a trip to say hello to every driver on the grid then back again was a great watch
I only saw him fall back, how did he get back in the pack? They were trying to make adjustments while he was tumbling backwards, did those pay off in the end? Or was it just pit/tire strategy that netted him 7th?
They put him on Hard tyres, but had zero data on it because of the weather Friday and Saturday. It was atrocious, so they pitted him again for softs and he went to overtake-town.
I think pitting for softs before the rain really helped him shoot up the field, he was lapping about 4 seconds faster than Verstappen at one point when everyone else was struggling.
Damn gonna have to rewatch from his onboard. Thanks for the info.
