feddit.nl - does work www.feddit.nl - doesn’t work
Ah yes I’ve made a mistake on the www part in the DNS settings. It’s there for quite a while.
I’ve corrected it, so the issue should be resolved for everyone within an hour from now.
Most sites still have a DNS record for www but it’s going away slowly.
The www. subdomain seems to resolve to the admin’s personal web server (website’s author info matches the admin’s username). I guess @tedvdb@feddit.nl just forgot to update the DNS record when he moved feddit.nl to a dedicated server.
All federation activity happens through the normal domain, and the Lemmy frontend is on there as well. I’m not sure what you’d put on the www. subdomain other than a redirect to feddit.nl for the people who still instinctively type www. in front of domains by default.
