If you can fix it post-launch, you should probably launch it post-launch too.
Seriously sick of the bugged out release trend. Just finish the game
Games like No Man’s Sky, The Master Chief Collection, and Cyberpunk 2077 are praised nonstop for fixing games well after launch. There’s basically no repercussions for a company to do this. I just don’t buy games anymore unless I have looked at plenty of reviews that seem to agree that it’s up to my standards. And my standards are honestly lower than most people’s.
This also falls to the - omnipresent nowadays - Enshittification category.
What are the issues? I really thought this was a minimum effort port. How could they have possibly fucked that up??
My guess is they packed the games in their self built emulators… and well… here we are.
One of them is no keyboard and mouse support on PC IIRC.
I heard multiple people complaining about terrible load times, at least with mgs1.
It’s kind of an unspoken rule at this point but it probably should stay unspoken.
Honestly, these days it would be more surprising if a game didn’t need to be fixed after being launched. Then again at least none of these issues sound particularly game-breaking, although these are just the ones Konami seems to be aware of. It wouldn’t be surprising if there are worse glitches they’re unaware of.
