I like how both of the interviewees who have concerns say, “I feel…” This just cements that these concerns aren’t based in fact, but perception and emotions.

Sure, these tiny homes could probably be located better and the city should be involved to make sure they meet safety standards, etc. but kudos to the charity that saw a problem and did something about it.

I’ve started asking people “do you have any independently verified statistics to back that up?” and when they start justifying why the answer is no or trying to say anything other than “yes and here they are” I just hit the with “So no, then. The answer is ‘no I don’t have anything that backs up what I’m saying in reality’” and usually that shuts them up because they don’t rant to talk to me anymore. Which is fine by me. It’s usually in-laws.

How little you must think of your neighbours yikes. I get the issues they bring up, so shouldn’t they be fighting for a real solution?

No, they just want to hide the “undesirables” under someone else’s rug.

Ultinately they don’t care if that “rug” ends up being “prison”
